Vegas Baby!!!!!!

I don't even know where to start with this post.....
I guess at the beginning....

Last Friday I flew to Las Vegas for WPPI. This is the photography convention of the year! It's a huge trade show/workshop/class/networking experience. It was my first year attending and I have to say, i don't see my self missing it next year. I will, however, be bringing my husband next year. It's just too much fun for him to miss.
At any rate on with the experience. My first two nights were spent with the fab-u-lous Val McCormick and her cousin Alicia. Now Val is a slamm'in photographer, and we all know that...but what we didn't know is that she has an AMAZING family. They all took me into their homes, and their hearts and treated me like I was part of their family. It has enlightened my life in so may ways. So the first part of my trip was a lot like a girls retreat, filled with REAL Spanish food, great conversation, and warmth from strangers that became my home away from home. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

On Sunday Eric RAW :) and his wife Amber arrived. How much fun are they? Sunday afternoon we went out on the strip and rocked it Vegas style while Eric took head shots for me. Yes it has been a long time coming, (because Eric is constantly booked) but they are finally done, and I'm sure they'll be up sometime in the near future (wink, wink). We, of course, had a blast which is the "dream team's" prerequisite for hanging out anyhow!

On Monday it was WPPI and classes, and trade show floor marathons, and yes...V.I.P. parties!

Tuesday greeted me with sore feet, bags under my eyes, and a mental breakdown from lack of sleep. I made it through another class, a stroll through the trade show, and made it over to the suite of the uber fantastic Justin & Mary Marantz to throw my ugly mug on the Portrait House PSA, shot by the unbelievably talented Ron Dawson. If you haven't clicked on the Portrait House link yet, check it out. They are doing some amazing work for charity and giving back some love!!! I ended my Tuesday in the airport, rushing to catch a flight home, just to find out it was delayed 2 1/2 hours. Oh well!!! I made it home and the rest is history.

Needless to say, I had a blast. I didn't have my camera out a whole lot, but I did manage to do some shooting...so without further ado...and in no particular order

Here is Alicia, AKA, one of my favorite people on the planet. We went out to Red Rock Canyon outside of Vegas.

LOL...Val getting her fuel on!!!!
Red Rock'in view...Are you kidding me????

Alicia again.....

Are you kidding me with those red highlights? This chick has got Sti-Z-Yle

A shot of Val on the airplane...playing with some window light and the 50 1.2

Awww, what a sweet post. It totally was like a girls retreat. I love those shots of Alicia. Getting gas, lol. The window light in the plane are cool I just cant get over the swelling in my face, storytelling ;-) Those landscape shots are unbelievable! My family can't stop talking about how fun and funny you were. No reason to catch a comedy show in Vegas when you got "D" in the house! Pimpin' in the LVC, lol. I know I'm a dork. Can't wait for next years and bringing the hubby's fo sho. We can't be having any more elevator incidents, lol ;-)
